THE Sixth Brunei National Conference on Autism 2008 will focus on accepting the disorder as an ability, rather than a disability and on better understanding and supporting individuals with autism.
From August 22 to 24, five foreign speakers will be deliberating on the conference's theme of "Don't DIS the Ability" at the Civil Service Institute in Rimba.
Through the conference, conference organiser Smarter Brunei hopes to point out that individuals with autism are not disabled, just different.
